Nebra HNT Hotspot

Nebra HNT Hotspot

Nebra is an industrial and IoT solutions provider and reseller based in the United Kingdom.
The Nebra HNT Indoor Hotspot Miner earns HNT Helium tokens when devices connect, and for validating wireless coverage delivered by peers. HNT cryptocurrency is earned by mining and building coverage for The People’s Network using Nebra HNT Hotspot Miner.Anyone can join The People’s Network and provide hundreds of square miles of wireless network coverage, while mining HNT on the Helium Blockchain just as Helium Hotspots do.
The Nebra Outdoor HNT Hotspot Miner provides the same functionality in a rugged outdoor ready enclosure. The Hotspot Miner sets up in minutes and has a smartphone app interface.

Uses of Nebra hotspot miner

1.Efficient miner for a new cryptocurrency, Helium (HNT).

2.Complete set-up in minutes using a smartphone.

3.LongFi technology maximises range and battery life.

4.Low Power – uses as much power as a broadband router (15W).

5.Easily manage Hotspots and tokens from the mobile app.

In the Nebra HNT hotspot miners, the frequency plan for the LoRa concentrator (for example US915 or AU915) is determined automatically based on the location that you choose for the “location assert”. This means that within the frequency variants (470 MHz, 868 MHz, 915 MHz) you can move it to a new location with a different frequency plan and it will auto-update.
The Nebra HNT Indoor Hotspot Miner comes in three different frequency variants:
1.470 MHz (CN470) – this is suitable for China.

2. 868 MHz (EU868, IN865, RU864) – this is suitable for EU, India, Russia and a variety of other countries.

3. 915 MHz (US915, AU915, KR920, AS923-1/2/3) – this is suitable for the USA, Australia, New Zealand and lots of countries in South America and Asia.

When setting up any Helium Hotspot Miner there is a $40 activation fee and a $10 fee when setting the hotspot’s location. As part of your purchase price we cover the $40 activation fee and the first location assert fee of $10 (worth $50 in total).

The Nebra hotspot miners come with two options for managing your hotspot remotely. Basic (which is free) and Advanced ( which is being paid for).
The Outdoor HNT Hotspot Miner opens up a plethora of opportunities, such as the ability to mount a hotspot to the side of buildings, houses and roofs. It’s an ideal solution for wider coverage applications across villages, towns and cities.

Below are some differences between the Outdoor and Indoor miner;

  1. Both Indoor & Outdoor Hotspots have Wi-Fi Connectivity with a 2.4Ghz 802.11n Wi-Fi Adaptor included in the units.
  2. The setup process takes about 30 minutes for the indoor hotspot and around an hour for the outdoor hotspot.
  3. Both hotspots have 10/100 Mbps Ethernet connectivity, this is fast enough for the Helium Network and is typically 2x the speed of most Wi-Fi connections and 4x the speed of LTE connections.
  4. Both units have Bluetooth which is used to communicate to the Helium App for initial setup.
  5. Weather rated enclosure (the outdoor unit comes in a case which is suitable to be used outside in mixed environments and has a few extra features.).
  6. Outdoor comes with a 3dbi fiberglass antenna while the indoor comes with 3dbi plastic antenna.
  7. One hotspot is set up indoors while the other is set up outside.
